Production Engineering Technician - III

Job Summary

Supports manufacturing through technical improvements and maintenance of equipment and processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintains and improves molding equipment uptime
2. Implements and maintains standards and standard processes for technicians
3. Reviews all production cycle sheets and daily maintenance check sheets
4. Monitors preventative maintenance schedules and quipment repair
5. Reviews and reports all cycle and set-up changes
6. Confirms and/or resolves all abnormal set-up sheet issues
7. Orders repair parts, equipment, and supplies, and establishes a spare parts inventory system
8. Monitors quantity and quality of all products
9. Assists shift supervisor in department “6s” activities and leads Kaizen improvement activities
10. Promotes continuous improvement, and document improvement plans and activities
11. Assists in the development of standard processes for new products and new product ;launches
12. Fills in for technicians and performs minor machine repairs, as required
13. Performs other duties as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

1. 14. High School diploma or GED
   (Associated Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology is preferred)
   15. 5 to 7 years of experience as a technician, Team Leader, and/or lead position in molding in a manufacturing environment
   16. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
   a. Problem solving skills

   c. Leadership and coaching skills
   d. Written and verbal communications skills
   e. Interpersonal skills – to confidently interact with individual sat all level sof authority, to work in a team environment, and to maintain composure in stressful or sensitive situations
