Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Production Control Planner - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and execute production schedules for assigned product lines to achieve maximum customer satisfaction levels and “on-time” shipments. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

  • Develops and maintains master schedules and order releases required to support customer requirements for assigned product lines. 
  • Reviews machine capacity, maintenance requirements, and schedules to determine if production plans for assigned product lines are achievable. 
  • Monitors status of purchase parts and communicates any changes to purchasing department. 
  • Works with Purchasing to secure purchase parts needed to meet production schedules. 
  • Provides shipping dates for short lead orders based on material availability and production capacity. 
  • Determines and maintains required Kanban card levels within the production system to meet production schedules and inventory targets. 

Requirements

Your Background 

High School Diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of progressive manufacturing experience. 

Associate's Degree in Business or a related discipline, Experience with computerized material requirements planning, and Access and Crystal Reports skills are preferred.
