Job Summary

Provides end-user support on PC-based hardware and software, and performs software and hardware installation, upgrades, and related IT activities throughout the corporation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Monitors, logs, prioritizes, and dispatches assistance calls utilizing the IT support center software
2. Performs troubleshooting, identifies issues, and resolves technical problems with PC-based hardware and software for end-users
3. Performs moves, additions, and changes of user equipment
4. Installs new equipment and performs hardware upgrades
5. Performs and/or assists with the implementation of software rollouts, patches, and upgrades
6. Verifies software licensing is maintained to ensure legalcompliance
7. Supports IT security initiatives as directed by management and company policy
8. Creates and maintains documentation related to the support of PC-based hardware and software
9. Stays current with and maintains high level of knowledge of assigned business applications
10. Works with Corporate Training to address end-user trainingissues
11. Provides basic support and configuration for video conferencing equipment
12. Participates in on-call program to troubleshoot and resolve systems issues
13. Performs other duties as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

1. Meets one of the following education and experience requirements:
a. Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of related work experience; OR (Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline Preferred)
b. High school diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of related work experience
2. One or more of the following professional certifications are preferred:
CTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Certified Novell Administrator (CNA), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), and Certified Linux Professional (CLP)

3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of the OSIModel
b. Knowledge and understanding of the principles of networking and TCP/IP
c. Ability to work with the IBMiSeries
d. Ability to work with and support core ERP applications
e. Analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
f. Organizational, prioritization, planning, and project management skills
g. Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (MS Office and Project)
h. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
i. Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in pressure situations
