Job Summary
Accurately and efficiently records and reports shipping and receiving data in support of the Warehouse function.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains shipping and receiving records within the AS400 system through daily input
- Makes minor corrections, codes items, and maintains records of shipping and receiving documents processed
- Produces departmental reports from the AS400 system
- Verifies shipping and receiving reports against control totals, reviews for accuracy, and distributes reports to the appropriate departments
- Informs department of missing or incorrect shipping and receiving data
- Maintains and controls various shipping and receiving records and files
- Schedules daily shipments and transmits shipment totals to the customers electronically
- Updates the shipment and material shortages sheets throughout the day and communicates issues to management
- Investigates all vendor exceptions and communicates issues to management
- Enters all incoming purchased components, all service and maintenance orders, and all import information for foreign trade zone
- Prepares and/or provides customs documents for exports
- Tracks returnable packaging on a daily basis and maintains accurate records
- Tracks expendable packaging and provides information to Production Control
- Assists in maintaining accurate documentation of material transfers through part and count verification
- Assists in maintaining proper documentation of receipt and movement of materials within warehouse
- Captures warehouse performance measures and provides reports, as required by management
- Coordinates communication between customer service, the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, Purchasing, and/or team leader
- Schedules and prepares all incoming and outgoing small packages and overnight packages (Fed-X, UPS, etc.) for the plant
- Maintains Warehouse office organization and control, and provides administrative support to the Warehouse staff
- Identifies delivery problems and works with suppliers and internal resources to resolve
- Supports activities associated with providing necessary Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork to assist in receiving and payment reconciliation problems.
- Assists Accounting with invoice problems
- Provides information to MIQ personnel regarding all expedites (other than supplier past due)
- Addresses customer issues related to delivery/paperwork concerns
- Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 4 years of prior data entry or office/clerical experience
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
- Organizational skills
- Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)
- Data entry skills with attention to detail
- Communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and function in a team environment
