Job Summary

Performs the recruiting/staffing function for hourly and salaried positions within the Corporate Headquarters office and across the company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assists in developing recruiting strategies for opening positions
2. Develops and recommends procedures for external recruitment
3. Establishes and maintains contacts with employment resources
4. Posts open positions internally, on college job boards, employment web sites, and the NAL web page
5. Places and/or coordinates advertising for open positions in external media sources
6. Researches resumes online for qualified candidates
7. Sources and distributes resumes
8. Conducts screening interviews and pre-employment testing
9. Refers qualified applicants to hiring managers for subsequent interviews
10. Coordinates on-site interviews with hiring managers
11. Extends offer letters to successful candidates within established parameters
12. Verifies employment history, background and reference checks
13. Maintains Applicant Records
14. Maintains company employment web page
15. Attends college career fairs and local job fairs
16. Produces weekly status reports on open positions
17. Coordinates the company-wide summer intern program
18. Produces Manpower Reports
19. Performs other tasks as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

1. Meets the following Education and Experience requirements:
a. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline
b. 0 to 2 years of recruiting, staffing, or related human resources experience
(Experience in a recruiting/staffing position preferred)
2. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of basic employment and labor law
b. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
c. Organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
d. Mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail

e. Computer skills — experience and proficiency using standard business software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access
f. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
g. Interpersonal skills — to professionally and confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain composure in pressure situations
