Job Summary

Reviews applicable customer/certification requirements and audits NAL processes to ensure compliance. Provides training to quality systems and assists Quality and Manufacturing in daily reporting. Monitors customer complaints and assists in resolution of the issue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Plans, promotes, organizes, and/or provides training related to quality systems
  2. Audits the activities of various departments for compliance to quality plans, policies, and procedures in order to verify compliance to standards.
  3. Prepare and submit reports to plant management on the results of audits, recommending the appropriate corrective action required to bring deficient areas into compliance.
  4. At the request of management, conducts special studies of specific operations requiring the development, interpretation, summarization or findings, and presentations and suggestions.
  5. Acts in an advisory capacity to all departments within the plant on special problems of procedure.
  6. Document Control (as applicable) - process and distribute controlled documents
  7. Monitors ppm status and customer complaints to determines if any audits need to be modified to assist in improving processes, etc.
  8. Monitor and assist in the progression of customer complaints through countermeasures and closure.
  9. Assist with daily and monthly manufacturing and quality reporting, as well as for preparation for customer visits.
  10. Facilitate the plants layered audit process, and reports out the status daily to management.
  11. Be available to audit other NAL facilities and bench marking activities.

Responsibilites

Requirements

  1. Meets one of the following Education and Experience requirements:
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Manufacturing, Business or other related field, and 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or improvement activities; or
  3. Associates Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or related discipline (or equivalent work experience), and 4+ years of experience in manufacturing quality and/or improvement activities.
  4. Strong skills and abilities within the following areas:
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • IATF16949 and ISO9000 knowledge preferred.
  • Have a current passport available or the ability to obtain a passport within 60 days of employment
