Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Quality Control & Quality Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and administer the overall quality function within the assigned manufacturing facility; including the quality program, policies, processes, and all related personnel. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

  • Plans and directs all quality activities related to both internal and customer issues. 
  • Reviews quality systems and processes; assesses quality needs; and develops and implements the overall quality system to include methods. 
  • Works closely with customers to resolve quality issues and returns, leads all activities related to the formal response to management and the customer, and serves as lead contact with the customer. 
  • Ensures that incoming inspection processes eliminate unacceptable parts being sent to production. 
  • Develops, implements, and maintains testing and performance standards and procedures to determine the product quality level and to permit acceptance of satisfactory products for shipments. 
  • Manages the inspection, testing, and analysis on new products or design changes, and ensures the completion of the customer/vendor Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR).

Requirements

Your Background 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a manufacturing-related discipline, plus 8 - 10 of experience in quality in a manufacturing environment—including: 

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a quality related field
  • 4 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or management position. 

 

Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and experience the quality function with an automotive lighting manufacturer are preferred.
