Job Summary
Supports Purchasing Development through training for current and new Purchasing processes, maintains schedules and meetings for cost down activities. Accurately documents purchasing procedures. Supports audits for external and internal processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Supports data analysis, creates timelines for program implementation, and updates documents for management meetings
2. Works with Procurement Engineers on all Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) items to ensure projects are on track. Maintains schedule and projected savings for business plan
3. Assists training with Purchasing on Plex process and procedures. Documents changes, updates and improvements in the Document Control System (DCS)
4. Supports training within Purchasing on new product process and procedures. Any updates, improvements, or changes will be documented and DCS updated.
5. Updates procedures to current purchasing processes. Supports training and updates DCS for approved documents
6. Maintains and updates purchasing processes for accurate documentation
7. Gathers information for audits, including quality audits, J-Sox, IATF, and ISO.
8. Supports training for all new Production Suppliers for New Launch, Plex, Packaging, and all NAL requirements for production supplier
9. Supports Purchasing team with Plex workflows and other activities as required
10. Preforms other duties as assigned
Responsibilites
Requirements
1. BA/BS in Business or a relateddiscipline
(Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred)
2. 0 to 2 years of professional experience in purchasing or a related function
(Experience in global sourcing, and evaluating and monitoring vendor performance preferred)
3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge of IATF-16949 requirements
b. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
c. Problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
d. MS Office and related business softwarepackages
e. Organizational and planningskills
f. Interpersonal skills—to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority
