Job Summary

Reviews, analyzes, monitors, and reports on manufacturing and customer data to support Production Planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Prepares and analyzes daily/weekly/monthly manufacturing reports and distributes to all plants
2. Creates work center capacity, load graphs, and manpower requirements for monthly detail planning meetings
3. Communicates manufacturing concerns for all plants and assists in leveling loads for all manufacturing workcenters
4. Queries various databases for production-related data, such as routings, schedules, and customer orders
5. Produces and examines Demonstrated Capacity sheets for Detail Planning
6. Prepares and evaluates documents for Corporate Production Control meetings
7. Analyzes production requirements to determine how to level capacity load in each manufacturing department and plan accurate and achievable targets for processing work centers
8. Writes ECR’s to update PLEX for cycle time and workcenter changes to support Production Engineering
9. Participates in Impact and Kaizen activities, as required
10. Performs other duties as assigned


1. Education & Experience: Meets one of the following requirements:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in M.I.S., Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions; OR
b. Associate’s Degree in M.I.S., Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions; OR
c. HS Diploma or GED, plus 4 to 6 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions
2. Strong Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of JIT manufacturing systems
b. Knowledge and understanding of NAL manufacturing capabilities
c. Working knowledge of the ASI and/or Future 3
d. Ability to travel to all plants for monthly meetings
e. Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
f. Data Acquisition, analysis, and reporting skills
g. Computer skills — proficient in standard business software with advanced skills in MS Excel (spreadsheets and graphs) and MS Access (tables and queries)
h. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
i. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations
