Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Production Control Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, supervise, and execute production schedules in order to maximize customer satisfaction, achieve “on-time” shipments, and meet department goals and objectives. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

• Supervises, directs, and monitors the PC Planners to ensure that they maintain master schedules and order releases for assigned product lines in order to support customer requirements (including the response to changes in customer requirements). 
• Supervises and participates in cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy, monitors accuracy of inventory records, and initiates required corrective actions. 
• Monitors status of purchase parts and communicates any changes to purchasing department. 
• Reviews, implements, and monitors ECRs in order to minimize obsolescence and maintain inventory accuracy. 
• Assists and provides support for the Plant PC Manager regarding physical inventory activities. 
• Provides technical and functional direction to departmental staff, and acts as a primary back up, and understudy to the Plant PC Manager. 

Requirements

Your Background 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, plus 4 to 6 years of production control experience OR
• Associate’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, plus 6 to 8 years of production control experience. 

Experience: 

• 2 years in a lead or supervisory role 
• Experience working in a JIT manufacturing environment utilizing Kanban 
• Continuous improvement or Kaizen experience.

APICS Certification is preferred.
