Job Summary
Reviews, analyzes, monitors, and reports on manufacturing and customer data to support Manufacturing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Prepares and analyzes daily/weekly/monthly volume trends, escalates findings, and tracks the implementation of any necessary countermeasures.
2. Evaluates weekly manning requirements for weekly manning meetings.
3. Audits departmental manning maps to ensure alignment with the approved manning plan.
4. Tracks manufacturing plan versus actual performance, reasons for missed plans, and associated performance improvement countermeasures.
5. Audits Manpower plan versus actual for each shift, escalates variances, tracks reasons and countermeasure for systemic variances to the plan.
6. Leads and/or assists with training of department personnel, as required.
7. Participate in Impact and Kaizen activities, as required.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Education & Experience: Meets one of the following requirements:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, M.I.S. or a related discipline, plus 0 to 2 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions; OR
b. Associate degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, M.I.S. or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions, half of which includes complex data analysis; OR
c. HS Diploma or GED, plus 4 to 6 years of related experience in related manufacturing functions, half of which includes complex data analysis.
2. Strong Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of JIT manufacturing systems
b. Knowledge and understanding of NAL manufacturing capabilities
c. Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
d. Data Acquisition, analysis, and reporting skills
e. Computer skills — proficient in standard business software with advanced skills in MS Excel (spreadsheets and graphs) and MS Access (tables and queries)
f. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
g. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations
