Job Summary

Provides hands-on assistance to Equipment Engineering in setting-up, fine-tuning, and maintaining production equipment. Additionally, provides support at both production facilities and equipment vendors to establish
and maintain capability for production equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Provides technical support in the set-up of new production equipment
  2. Assists Equipment Engineers in troubleshooting processes and production equipment
  3. Establishes programs for new glue and screw robot applications during equipment set-up
  4. Writes and de-bugs PLC and touch screen programming for new production equipment
  5. Designs electrical and pneumatic schematics for new production equipment
  6. Identifies and procures small engineering fixtures and tooling, as required
  7. Provides technical support for equipment and manufacturing trials
  8. Provides technical support & training to production personnel for new technology implemented into production equipment
  9. Provides technical support for continuous improvement of production equipment and processes
  10. Performs all other duties as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

  1. Meets one of the following education and experience requirements:
  2. Associate’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline plus 3 to 5 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment; OR
  3. High School Diploma or GED plus 5 to 8 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  4. Work experience to include MEDOC PLC programming, Motoman robot programming, machine setup, and sonic welder setup ― (experience in hot plate welding and vibration welding is preferred)
  5. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Technical and mechanical skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints
  • Written and verbal communications skills
  • Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority
