Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain the Company's standard costing system, to recommend, implement and monitor compliance with Corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Responsible for monthly costing for all NAL part numbers, analyzes, and adjustments as needed.
- Responsible for the monthly generation of Plex SCAR, analyzes, and to post monthly cost of production, overhead, inventory, Price Variance, FEX and scrap journal entries.
- Calculates monthly royalty payments to shareholder.
- Audits Bills of Material and Routings in Plex, reports errors to appropriate personnel, and follows-up to ensure that changes are made.
- Identifies and enters standard costs to the system for all purchased components. Responsible for the annual analysis and update to standard costs and machine rates.
- Calculates and analyzes inventory value of general ledger compared to manufacturing stock status.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, plus 4 - 6 years of experience in an accounting position.
Experience in a manufacturing cost accounting position is preferred.
