Job Summary
Works with various Manufacturing and Engineering departments to improve efficiency of internal
logistics. Specifically focused on new technologies, existing process integration, and strategic development of
new methods and concepts. Evaluates logistics equipment and standards to improve performance, cost, quality,
and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provides leadership, technical guidance, and training to other team members.
2. Manages, coordinates, and implements internal logistics improvement projects to improve effectiveness,
quality, and cost.
3. Communicates with Management, Engineering, and other colleagues to ensure that best practices
are shared across the organization.
4. Works with all NAL Manufacturing locations to ensure unified, consistent short- and long-term goals for
internal logistics.
5. Develops and implements internal logistics processes, procedures, and standards.
6. Develops and maintains open lines of communications with internal project teams, Koito advisors, and
suppliers related to projects.
7. Researches and implements new technology and equipment for internal logistics.
8. Stays current with state-of-the-art equipment technology and processes.
9. Participates in strategic capital equipment and budget planning and forecasting.
10. Participates in strategic equipment sourcing and supplier development.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline
2. 6 to 8 years of experience in implementation of logistics/material handling equipment and processes within
manufacturing
3. Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred
4. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
b. Knowledge and understanding of Just In Time Manufacturing
c. Data analysis and problem-solving skills
d. Organizational and planning skills
e. Computer skills — proficient using standard business software (including MS Office)
f. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
g. Leadership and coaching skills
h. Interpersonal skills — the ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and
maintain composure in sensitive and confrontational situations
i. Able to work independently and complete both large and small scope projects autonomously
Salary Range: $100,000-$116,000
