Job Summary

Works with Equipment and Manufacturing Engineers who design, specify, and develop equipment required to support production requirements, specifically focused on new technologies, equipment standards, equipment controls, and strategic development of new equipment concepts and assembly processes. Evaluates assembly equipment and standards to improve performance, cost, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Works with multiple departments to ensure timely support on new product launches and all other assigned projects
2. Provides on-site support at NAL plants and equipment vendors when additional engineering resources are required
3. Assists in feasibility studies and analysis of the new technology
4. Develops and implements assembly processes, procedures, and standards
5. Provides technical support in the following areas:
a. To establish process capability during new equipment start-up
b. To manufacturing to maintain process capability
c. For continuous improvement of production equipment and processes
6. Studies product design feasibility and provides feedback to project launch team
7. Reviews and approves concept drawings for newequipment
8. Researches and innovates new technology and equipment for assembly and assembly linetesting
9. Stays current with state of the art equipment technology and processes
10. Creates or modifies standard PLC, HMI, or other control programming
11. Participates in strategic capital equipment budgeting, equipment sourcing, and supplier development
12. Performs all other duties asassigned

Responsibilites
Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relateddiscipline
2. 2 to 4 years of experience in equipment design and/or implementation withinmanufacturing
3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the followingareas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of Just In Time Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control,and Advanced Product QualityPlanning
b. Data analysis and problem solving skills
c. Organizational and planning skills
d. Computer skills — proficient using standard business software (including MSOffice)
e. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
f. Leadership and coaching skills
g. Interpersonal skills — the ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain composure in sensitive, pressure, and confrontational situations
