Job Summary

Ensures that NAL complies with all applicable sales and use tax laws for all states in which it conducts business transactions, and that all fixed assets of the company are accounted for in compliance with GAAP and IRS guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Review and approve account coding for accounts payable as needed.
2. Prepare account analyses and reconciliations monthly and annually as required.
3. Coordinate information for and file all governmental surveys, questionnaires, and in-house prepared tax reports.
4. Coordinate and file government tax payments as necessary.
5. Prepare and process journal entries as necessary.
6. Assist during annual financial audit as needed.
7. Prepare and file annual 1099s.
8. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, or related discipline
    2. 4 to 6 years of professional experience in General Accounting
    Experience in manufacturing is preferred
    3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
    a. Knowledge and understanding of GAAP concepts and principals, and how they are applied in a business environment
    b. Organizational and planning skills
    c. Mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
    d. Skills using business and accounting software packages, including MS Excel and Access
    e. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
    f. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority

Salary Range: $74,000-$85,000
