Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a WIP Planner - I to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, organize and execute production schedules for assigned product lines to achieve maximum customer satisfaction levels and “on-time” shipments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Maintains map of current WIPs for the plan.
- Maintains WIP areas, WIP display information, and other tools as required per the Kanban production needs.
- Calculates and tracks required number of totes/racks needed to support the production needs.
- Conducts audits of current packaging to ensure necessary number is still available.
- Conducts audits of WIP areas to insure proper packaging is being utilized and advises manufacturing staff of non-compliance and escalates issues to KPS supervisor, when necessary.
- Responsible for adding/removing totes/racks as required per the production needs.
Requirements
Your Background
High School Diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
Associate's Degree in Business or a related discipline, Experience with computerized material requirements planning, and Access and Crystal Reports skills is preferred.
