Job Summary

Plans and performs Human Resources programs and processes in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, HR policies, and performance management in support of the staff at his/her assigned facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provides overall HR support for the facility in all of the functional areas of Human Resources
2. Partners with hiring managers to determine recruitment strategies for their hiring needs
3. Performs recruiting, selection, and employment process for the purpose of meeting staffing requirements
4. Develops and maintains relationships with recruitment sources for all levels of positions within and outside of the automotive industry
5. Leads and/or participates in the onboarding process and new employee orientation
6. Processes paperwork for all of the functional areas of HR in accordance with established procedures
7. Inputs and maintains human resources data in HRIS and timekeeping systems
8. Maintains all necessary personnel records, and ensures the confidentiality and security of all employee files and other sensitive information
9. Implements, administers, and supports HR programs and policies on a local level
10. Creates and maintains reports for various HR functional areas, as needed,
11. Analyzes and interprets HR data, and reports or presents overview of findings
12. Addresses employee relations issues, as required, performing inquiries/investigations and facilitating timely resolution of theissues
13. Communicates with employees and management for the purpose of providing information and assistance for making decisions, taking appropriate action, and/or referring to someone else, if needed
14. Administers benefit plans, including Annual Benefit Enrollment, on a local basis, and conducts employee presentations on benefit plans, as needed
15. Administers leave of absence programs on a local basis, and ensures that leaves are documented in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
16. Administers Worker's Compensation program on a local basis, ensures that accidents are recorded in accordance with company policy, and claims are processed per plan and legal requirements
17. Provides back-up for both the HR Manager and the HR Coordinator
18. Performs all other duties as required



1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
2. 0 to 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role; including experience in recruiting and manufacturing
3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of basic employment and labor law
b. Ability to organize, plan, and handle multiple priorities
c. Data Acquisition and reportingskills
d. Analytical and problem solvingskills
e. Computer skills — proficient using standard business software (including MS Office)
f. Written and verbal communications and presentationskills
g. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain professional demeanor in stressful and/or sensitive situations
