Job Summary

Reviews product design to create accurate customer quotes, oversees equipment projects, and tests equipment prior to and during product run-off to establish and maintain processes. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Creates detailed quote for equipment utilizing EE supplied RFQ
  2. Studies product design feasibility and provides feedback to management
  3. Assists in establishing SOS for standard processes
  4. Reviews and approves concept drawings for new equipment
  5. Establishes recommendations for capital equipment budget requirements
  6.  Launches detailed timing to design, build, run-off, and deliver new equipment
  7. Tracks and communicates equipment development and progress
  8. Communicates IEP needs to EE department and tracks status
  9.  Determines initial equipment capability through trials and evaluations at IEP prior to run-off 
  10. Assist with plant run-off of equipment at IEP
  11. Reviews run-off open issues and makes plan to address issues
  12. Provides support to establish process capability during new equipment start-up
  13. Provides feedback for continuous improvement of production equipment and processes
  14.  Evaluates vendor capabilities and provides feedback for vendor selection and approval
  15. Ensures all new equipment development meets all company process and quality standards
  16. Performs other duties as assigned 



Must meet one of the following Education and Experience Requirements 

  1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline plus 2 to 4 years of related manufacturing experience 
  2. Associates Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline plus 4 to 6 years of related manufacturing experience

Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude
b. Analytical and problem solving skills
c. Organizational and planning skills
d. Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)
(Knowledge or experience with CAD is preferred)
e. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
f. Interpersonal skills — to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain professional demeanor in stressful or sensitive situations
