Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Human Resources Plant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and manage all HR functions and activities in the plant relating to recruiting, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, health and safety programs, and other activities needed to carry out the company’s human resources strategies and programs. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

  • Manages and/or conducts employee counseling and employee disciplinary actions, and ensures employees’ right to exercise the “open door policy.” 
  • Provides counsel to managers and supervisors on HR policies, programs, and procedures to ensure fair and consistent application and employee treatment. 
  • Oversees and/or performs employee recruiting, as well as the administration of plant wage and salary activities, employee benefits, paid time off, and workers’ compensation program. 
  • Monitors employment laws to ensure compliance with all current legislation. 
  • Serves as mentor for development of the employees in the plant HR department. 

Requirements

Your Background

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, plus 8 - 10 years of experience in Human Resources—including 3 - 5 years in a supervisory role.

Master's Degree and experience in manufacturing is preferred.
