Job Summary
Mechanically assembles tooling and capital equipment from design prints. Wires and plumbs tooling from electrical and pneumatic prints.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assembles machined details together per design
- Performs small machining to allow for design changes and/or problems
- Wires tooling and/or electrical panel per prints provided
- Teardowns equipment for shipment
- Sets up equipment at the specified plant after shipment
- Reviews and checks-off the Ship Requirement Sheet
- Keeps Equipment Tracking Sheet up to date with current status
- Monitors inventory level of common parts and recommends ordering at correct time
- Maintains 6S within assigned areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Responsibilites
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Associates’ Degree in a technical discipline is preferred)
- Up to 2 years of technical work experience working on assembly equipment in a manufacturing environment, including previous experience in machine setup
- Must have own tools to perform all required tasks
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
- Technical and mechanical skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints
- Organizational and planning skills
- Communications and interpersonal skills
