Job Summary
Maintains the accuracy of BOM’s and Routings within Plex as directed by ECR’s, and provides functional and end user support for all NAL Production Control data systems through the administration
and maintenance of the systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Verifies and ensures accuracy of all BOM’s, Process Routings, Part Lists, Label Formats, Part Revision Labels, etc. in Plex
- Analyzes and approves all ECR’s focusing on accuracy of requested changes and their effect on the planning system, and modifies Bills of Material and routes as dictated by approved ECR
- Maintains effective date changes as a part of the Review Board
- Creates and maintains phantom routes
- Processes all part changes according to established approval levels based on change type
- Conducts Plex, ECR, and BOM training at each plant
- Verifies accuracy of engineering drawings to Bills of Material
- Attends design reviews and checks for manufacturing feasibility from a capacity standpoint
- Functions as the Super User and provides end user support for the various NAL Production Control data systems (including Plex, ASI, Future3, HighJump, TeamCenter, NuTech, iConnect, TL Ashford, NAL Online Labeling, and custom databases)
- Leads and manages upgrades, enhancements, and improvement activities related to the NAL Production Control data systems
- Performs other duties as assigned
Responsibilites
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 4 to 6 years of related manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of the use and purpose of BOM's and Routings
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of TeamCenter and current ECR processing application
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Organizational and planning skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Computer skills – advanced knowledge of and proficiency using all Corp PC systems, and all basic business software packages with a specific emphasis on MS Excel and Access
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals (internal/external) at all levels of authority and maintain composure in stressful, confrontational, and/or sensitive situations
