PLM Systems Engineer - II

Job Summary

Configures, tests, deploys, implements, maintains, and supports the company's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, which includes 3D modeling, requirement traceability, and configuration management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Configures Teamcenter BMIDE, BOM Management, Workflows, Access Control, Change Management, Dispatcher Configuration, ERP Interfaces, and other modules of Teamcenter
2. Troubleshoots Teamcenter technical issues including installation, testing, deployment, and configuration, as well as client and server issues
3. Implements PLM/CAD interoperability strategies
4. Develops migration strategies from various systems into Teamcenter
5. Gathers requirements from process SMEs, and develops technical solutions
6. Identifies and assesses new PLM application technologies to provide upgrade opportunities and product development activities
7. Performs system administration, including system upgrade testing and validation, and end-user support
8. Develops, conducts and/or assists with end-user training
9. Travels to customer locations, as required
10. Performs other duties as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

1. Meets the following education and experience requirements:
a. Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline,
plus 2 to 4 years of related work experience in an engineering/manufacturing intensive industry
2. Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred
3. Experience and advanced knowledge with the following:
a. Teamcenter UA and Teamcenter BMIDE
b. Experience with CAD software and CAD data migrations to Teamcenter UA is preferred
c. C, C++, and ITK programming, and Rich client customization
d. Experience with Scripting Language programming is preferred
e. Knowledge of Databases, Eclipse Framework, Server Setups, Hardware analysis, and Performance tuning is preferred

4. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Analytical and problem solving skills
b. Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
c. Project management and follow-up skills
d. Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)
e. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
f. Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in confrontational, sensitive, and pressure situations
