PLM Systems Administrator - Lead

Job Summary

Performs system administration activities to support and maintain the corporate Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, including configuring, testing, and implementing PLM technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Leads and/or performs PLM system administration activities; including maintenance, upgrades, testing, validation, and end-user support
2. Maintains and monitors integrations between Teamcenter and other external systems, and troubleshoots all integration issues
3. Troubleshoots technical issues in Teamcenter, such as configuration testing and new development issues
4. Performs back end Teamcenter application support and works closely with IT to address application performance, security, and stability issues
5. Works closely with management, business users, and IT group to implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
6. Performs application configuration to support PLM Systems Engineer, PLM Application Analyst, and business users
7. Provides guidance and assistance to other PLM System Administrators
8. Develops, conducts, and/or assists with end-user training
9. Identifies and assesses new PLM application technologies to provide upgrade opportunities
10. Travels to customer locations, as required
11. Performs other duties as assigned

Responsibilites

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
2. 4 to 6 years of experience supporting and administering Teamcenter applications in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
3. Experience to include the following:
a. Installing and administering Client/Server, Database, and Web Server applications in a Microsoft OS and virtual environment
b. Programming/Scripting Teamcenter through ITK or SOA to support application administration and scheduling tasks
c. Experience with Catia, SQL Server, and VMware is preferred
4. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Analytical and problem solving skills
b. Organizational, prioritization, planning, and project management skills
c. Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)
d. Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
e. Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in pressure situations
