Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Electronics Development Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate all of the activities and personnel of the Electronics Development department, which includes the review and evaluation of the progress of the lighting programs and development projects performed by the engineers and technicians within the department. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

• Assigns work, supervises, and evaluates work of other engineers within the department. 
• Oversees feasibility studies and engineering analysis of other engineers within the department for new concepts related to the projects. 
• Oversees tests and other evaluations for prototype and pre-prototype hardware performed by the other engineers within the department. 
• Assigns and oversees the writing of technical reports and specifications related to projects and testing, and reviews them for accuracy. 
• Assigns and oversees the creation of preliminary sketches, schematics, and supports creation of technical models for new design concepts by the other engineers in the department. 
• Provides departmental leadership for the support of production launch teams on the implementation of new technologies. 

The salary range for this position is $123,000 - $171,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.

Requirements

Your Background 

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline, plus 6 to 8 years of experience in an electronic engineering and/or technology development related position —including: 

• At least two years in a senior or lead role. 
• Experience in lab set up, data acquisition, and data analysis. 

Electronic technology development experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred.
