Our Opportunity

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting functions within the Corporate Accounting department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

  • Implements and ensures compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the plant level.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and interprets manufacturing performance reports, departmental reports, P&L statements, and planning to actual reports on a timely basis.
  • Compiles and analyzes manufacturing data (labor, scrap, efficiency, etc), and assists in identifying potential root causes of problems, proposing possible countermeasures, and making specific recommendations for cost reductions and profit improvement.
  • Reviews and analyzes all departmental, labor, and capital expenditures on a monthly basis, and assists in identifying and eliminating variances.
  • Coordinates and facilitates tool close-out meetings for each tool.
  • Prepares all accounting ledgers and reports for the plant, and provides accurate and timely financial and planning information to Corporate Planning & Cost Control.

Requirements

Your Background 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline, plus 6 to 8 years of experience in a position in a manufacturing operations function (i.e.: Production Control, Engineering, Cost Accounting)--including:

  • 2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports (i.e.: income statement, balance sheet).

 

Experience in a tooling and/or automotive manufacturing environment is preferred.
