Job Summary
Provides strategic leadership, planning, direction, communication, and management from a corporate level to support Organizational Development of all Team Members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Works with the corporate management and plant management to:
a. Align the organizational development strategy with NAL's strategy and goals.
b. Plan, develop, and implement policies and activities that will enhance all training.
c. Design and implement training and development programs to meet key objectives.
2. Trains and coaches’ managers, supervisors and others involved in organizational development efforts.
3. Develops and maintains organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters
to ensure Team Members have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
4. Conducts follow up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
5. Analyze data from studies to make directional decisions and provide reports to Senior Management.
6. Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
7. Prepare and implement learning strategies and programs including multimedia training platforms/methods.
8. Evaluate and research training methods, techniques and options to remain up to date on developments within the industry and to remain competitive.
9. Review individual and organizational development opportunities.
10. Deploy different kinds of learning methods such as coaching, job shadowing, online training, e-learning, workshops, etc.
11. Track all training and monitor the success of development plans and help Team Members make the most of learning opportunities.
12. Possess good working knowledge of the latest learning/development trends and software including strong experience in implementation and management of a LMS system.
13. Design and develop training in close collaboration with various subject matter experts.
14. Collect feedback from surveys and senior management on completed training to evaluate and measure results in order to make improvements as necessary.
15. Develop various management reports and analyze data for trends and weaknesses.
16. Develop Kaizen plans to address weaknesses and gaps in training content to generate higher productivity.
17. Identify future training needs and develop curriculum to support the programs.
18. Develop executive or leadership development programs.
19. Prepares and manages training budget with oversight from the Assistant Director of HR.
20. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
2. 8 to 10 years of experience in Organizational Development, including 5 years of management experience (Experience in manufacturing is preferred)
3. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of Organizational Development for a labor force of 5,000+
b. Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring skills
c. Analytical, Problem Solving and Decision Making skills
d. Project Management, Goal and Target Setting skills
e. Organizational, Planning and Delegation skills
f. Ability to handle multiple, complex priorities and balance each based on impact to the business
g. Computer skills — proficiency using standard business software (including MS Office)
Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills as well as previous LMS experience.
h. Written and verbal communications skills ― including technical writing and presentation skills
i. Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain composure in pressure situations
